Ving
In January 2024, Green River facilitated the piloting of Solar Water Solutions’ desalination units to Ving’s hotels in southern Europe. Green River identified, and invested in, the Finnish company behind the module-based water desalination units, powered by solar energy. Thus lowering the value chain emissions & reduced water impact for Ving. Also contributing to an increased valuation of Solar Water Solutions and dividend returns for Ving.
Strawberry
The hotel-chain is in a partnership with Green River and ClimatePoint, and have invested in two funds: Food & Agritech and Buildings & Construction. Through these funds Strawberry helps startups who are developing sustainable solutions relevant to the hotel industry. This in turn is key in order for Strawberry to attain their goal of a 50% reduction in their own value chain emissions by 2030.
Juicy Marbles
Juicy Marbles is one of the companies we have invested in through our Food & Agritech fund. The Slovenian scale-up produces a high quality meat alternative at a fraction of the emissions in comparable meat products. The company uses 3D assembly to create the fibers and texture necessary to resemble real meat. The LCA, done by ClimatePoint, shows significant positive effect when replacing meat with these very tasty alternatives.
